Health and Safety at Times Square Suites Hotel

The safety and well being of our guests is the top priority for all of us at Times Square Suites Hotel. We are monitoring and following guidance from WHO and CDC and the BC Government to address covid-19.

During the months of April and May, we provided a home away from home for front line health care workers from St. Paul's Hospital which is the only hospital in downtown Vancouver. These workers elected to move away from their family members who may have been vulnerable. We were fortunate in BC that our numbers did not escalate and these nurses and doctors could go home to their families at the end of May. We thank them for their service and were pleased we could offer exclusive accommodation where they could reside together to get through these hard times.

This experience allowed us to work through standards and learn best practices with our staff over those two months.

Now, we continue to minimize the number of staff in the hotel. We educate our guests and team on distancing and cleaning practices. We will continue to tweak and learn as we evolve into the "new normal". Together (you and us) we will have to do our best to stay safe.

Our hotel has permanently increased the cleaning of touch point areas such as elevator buttons, doorknobs, public areas and implemented additional deep-clean guestroom procedures. We have also increased the number and availability of hand sanitizer stations. It is now mandatory to wear a mask in the common areas of a hotel in BC. We appreciate the cooperation of our guests and visitors with this initiative.

We have been educated by BC Government and Vancouver Coastal Health that our patio and hotel suites are not able to accommodate a gathering or more than 6 people (unless they live together). We advise our guests that we have to enforce this during their stay.

As a small, independent business, we want our guests, visitors and our team to have the safest, healthiest and very best experience while at the hotel.
